Please advise how to correct shopping cart from allowing customers to order after setting the inventory to indicate that the product is no longer available and set it to say "remove from store or show order is out of stock(do not allow order). I have tried several times to adjust the drop drop to either of the above options and neither work. What does happen is when the order is place the msg appears on the cart page "Item's Quantity Was Modified Due To Low" and it allows the cusomer to order.  Do not know were this msg is being generated.   The version of BV Com I am using is SP1.

Service pack 1 is a very old version of BV Commerce 5. There were several inventory updates in later service packs. Do you have a maintenance plan? If so, you can download the latest service packs for your software.

I am having a similar issue on a BV Commerce 5 SP3.1 store.

All items are marked to be removed from store when inventory reaches zero, but the customer still gets occasional orders of an unavailable product sku.

Just noticed that many inventory skus show 'reserved' even though the actual inventory is zero and then discovered that the inventory settings are set to 'reserve' when a product is placed on a cart.

Could it be that the software accounts for these products placed on abandoned carts and allows them to be placed on a new order??


Please let me know how could I solve this issue.
