I am ugrading a BVC 5 SP2 site to BVC 5.7 and when I attempt to execute the sqlpatch.exe it fails to update the database. I have verified the correct web.config is installed and that the database connection is correct.

Any ideas as to what may be the problem?

You can always run the SQL updates manually. You can find them in the /BVAdmin/BVSql folder. Be sure to run the scripts in succession (e.g. SP3, SP3.1, SP3.2, SP4, etc).

Thanks Aaron,

That is exactly what I did to get the database updated. I used SQL management studio starting with the schema and then the data script for all the past updates then SP7. Now it is working like a charm.

I was still on SP2 that is why the sqlpatch included with 5.7 would not run.
